Lola R. Friedman, 94 years of age and a longtime resident of Morristown, NJ for over seventy years, passed away on February 7, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center after a short illness. She immigrated to the United States in 1938 from Moscow, Russia and became a naturalized citizen. She later met and married Dr. Myron Friedman and had three children. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans, served on several committees, and was actively involved with the Lyons VA Hospital. She had a strong appreciation and love of all the arts, theatre, opera, ballet, gallery and museum exhibits, but most in particular, classical music. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed biographical and historical literature. She also enjoyed playing bridge on a regular basis with other couples and traveling. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of almost 68 years, Dr. Myron Friedman. She is survived by her daughters’, Irene Friedman of Morristown, New Jersey and Sharon Littlejohn and her husband, Bob, of Madison, New Jersey and her son, Leonard Friedman and his wife, Tamara, of Hillsborough, New Jersey and their daughter, Kira Friedman, a gifted musician.
