Obituary of June Rose Peters

June Rose Peters, 88, of Morris Plains, passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2016. She was born on June 7, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, graduated from Coughlin High School, and lived in Morris County for over 50 years. She worked as Head Cashier at Bamburgers/Macy's for nearly 24 years, retiring in 1988. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas V. Peters in 1989. Surviving are her children and daughters-in-law: Thomas W. and Carol Peters, Bernard M. and Nicole Peters, Kenneth D. Peters and Karen Peters; and grandchildren Mark and his wife Laura, and Michelle. Ever devoted to her family, she had a zest for life, making the most of each day with quiet strength and kindness, and always kept her sweet smile no matter the circumstance. She had a special love for music with live entertainment in her family-owned restaurant and especially enjoyed seeing the Big Bands and Frank Sinatra. She also took great pleasure working with Ticketron, selling concert tickets to the neighborhood.
