Obituary of Ozzie Marten /Osvaldo Gonzalez, Jr.

Ozzie Marten (Osvaldo Gonzalez, Jr.), 44, passed away on September 14, 2016. Born in Newark, Ozzie resided in Whippany for the past eight years. Ozzie graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, and attended Middlesex County College. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1992-1994. Ozzie worked as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker in Parsippany. He was also a member of Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, Cedar Knolls. Ozzie is survived by his loving parents, Wilma Sierra and Osvaldo Gonzalez; his dear grandmother, Irene Torres; his beloved brother, Marlon Gonzalez, of San Francisco, CA; his devoted sister, Jillian Gonzalez, of Whippany; and his loving former wife, Sandi Marten. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 4-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Ozzie will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:00am at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls. Interment will be private. Ozzie engaged in community outreach throughout his life. He was studying to become a counselor. Ozzie firmly believed in helping others through his own experiences and uplifting words of support.
