Obituary of John Louis LoSapio, Sr

John L. LoSapio, Sr. of Morris Plains, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. John was born in Florham Park, NJ, at home to Mary and Gabriel LoSapio. John was the youngest of 11 children. He was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph, Caroline, Frank, Louie, Rosie, Anthony, and Gabriel LoSapio. He worked for AT&T for 38 years as well as Avaya, Lucent and Andrew Technologies, Warren, NJ. He received numerous awards during his career. John also played semi-pro football for the Newark Bears as a young man and enjoyed playing baseball as well. He loved watching all sports and was involved in coaching when he could. John is survived by his children and their spouses, John and Cherray LoSapio, Michael and Ashley LoSapio, and Brad and Tina Schwartz as well as his grandchildren, Lilian, Mikey, Reid and Tyler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews with whom he enjoyed spending time. He was a member of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains, NJ, and the Knights of Columbus. Family and friends are welcome to gather for a Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains, NJ 07950. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery, Madison, NJ 07950. Arrangements are under the care of Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ.
