Obituary of Joan Pence

Joan Pence, 91, of Livingston, NJ passed away on June 8, 2015 after a short illness. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. Visitations will be held on Monday, June 15 from 3-5 & 7-9pm at the Dangler Funeral Home. Burial will follow the Funeral at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dangler Funeral Home. Joan was born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 22, 1923, but lived in New Jersey and Livingston most of her life. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Reed Pence; a son, Ron Pence and his wife, Diane, of Davie, FL; a daughter, Carol Prewitt of Hazlet, NJ; a son, Gary Pence and his wife, Anna, of Bridgewater, NJ; a daughter, Cheryl Satarino and her husband, Tom, of Carmel, IN; a son, Greg Pence, and his longtime companion, Delia Lombardo, of Morris Plains, NJ; and a daughter, Darlene DeDominicis of Wilmington, DE. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Joan was a loving wife and mother who always enjoyed being with family and friends. She looked forward to going to the Senior Center to play Bingo and her trips to Mohegan Sun and Atlantic City to play the slots. She loved putting together her many beautiful puzzles, as well as spending time with her grandchildren and family and friends. Flowers can be sent to the Dangler Funeral Home, and any donations can be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
