Obituary of Joan B. Barry

Joan B. Barry, 84, of Harding Township, passed away at home with her loving family by her side on November 25, 2016. Born and raised in in Rockaway, Joan resided in Harding Township for the past 57 years. She graduated from Rockaway High School. Joan’s greatest joy was taking care of her family as a homemaker. Joan is survived by her devoted children, Debbie and Tom James, Donna and Robert Smorol, John and Lori Barry, Nancy Kinnaman, Charles Barry, and Kevin and Robyn Barry. Joan is also survived her beloved siblings, Robert and Margie Sanders, Lois and Alan Blair, and her sister-in-law, Jean Sanders; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Michelle, Robert, Mickaela, Isabelle, Gabrielle, Paige, Gavin, Elise, John-David, Sean, Kate and Abigail; many nieces and nephews; and her caretaker, for whom the family is ever grateful, Atta Sampaney. Joan was predeceased by her husband, John T. Barry, and her brother, Chuck Sanders. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 4-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service for Joan will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
