Obituary of Dominic Zamarelli

Dominic “Don” Zamarelli of Morris Township, NJ, passed away December 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Newark, NJ, and lived in Morris Township for 60 years, Don worked as a free-lance sportswriter who specialized in horse racing and handicapping. He is survived by his brother, Calvin Zamarelli of Morris Township, NJ, as well as nieces, Cheryl Giordano, Patricia Ferrara, and a nephew, John Ferrara and his wife, Joanne, in addition to a great-grandniece, Jacqueline Ferrara. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Zamarelli and Fiorina Gilenta, his brother, Frank Zamarelli, and his sisters, Catherine Zamarelli, Anna Tortoriello, Helen Treglia, Jo Anne Lupo, Florine Sobral, and Penny Ferrara. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2-6 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ 07940. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 5, 2016, at 10:00am at St. Thomas More, Morristown, NJ. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
