Obituary of Rita T. Lesko

Rita Theresa Lesko, 95, formerly of Point Pleasant Borough, more recently of Morris Township, passed away on December 16, 2016. Born in Central Falls, RI, Rita resided in Pt. Pleasant Borough, before moving to Morris Township 14 years ago. Rita worked as a Bookkeeper for the Point Pleasant Board of Education for 15 years before she retired in 1985. Rita was a parishioner of St. Martha’s Church in Point Pleasant, where she was a member of their Rosary Altar Society, and St. Virgil’s Church in Morris Plains. Rita is survived by her devoted children, Patricia Tromans, and her husband, James, Jeanne McKenna, and her husband, Donald, Thomas Lesko, and his wife, Diane, and James Lesko. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Theresa Engle; her 12 cherished grandchildren; and her 20 great-grandchildren. Rita was predeceased by her husband, Julius, her grandson, Justin, and her 10 siblings. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Rita will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment of Rita’s ashes will follow at a later date at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Spring Lake.
