Rose Wisolmerski WWII WAC, loving mother and devoted grandmother, 95 Rose Wisolmerski, 95, of Cedar Knolls, N.J., peacefully departed this life to join her husband, Chester, in heaven on their 71st wedding anniversary, June 10, 2015. Friends are invited to visit at the Burroughs, Kohr, & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, N.J., on Monday, June 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Ave., Cedar Knolls, N.J., on Tuesday, June 16, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, N.J. Born in West Fairview, Pa., Rose joined the Army in 1943, and met her paratrooper husband at a Red Cross canteen. They were married at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., on June 10, 1944. She rose to the rank of sergeant, serving in a postal processing unit. Rose was a founding member of St. Raphael's Parish in Livingston, N.J., and was active in the Rosary Altar Society. With her husband and daughter, she volunteered at St. John's Soup Kitchen in Newark, N.J., for many years. For the last nine years, Rose belonged to Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church. Rose was a devoted mother to Theresa and Michael, and loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren, Rachel and Matthew.
