Obituary of Francis Soo Hoo

Francis “Bee” Soo Hoo, 77, passed away on January 2, 2017 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was born in Newark, NJ, and lived in Morris Plains for 36 years. Francis graduated from East Side High School, Newark, in 1957. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of the Old First Presbyterian Church, Newark. He worked for Merrill Lynch as the VP of Network Communications for 45 years until his retirement in 2002. Francis is survived by his loving wife, Daisy Soo Hoo, and his son, Brian, Morris Plains and his daughter, Kim Tryon and her husband, Christopher, Denville. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Soo Hoo and his wife, Mabel, Brooklyn, NY, and Howard Soo Hoo, Spotswood, NJ, and his grandchildren, Jillian, Justin, Benjamin, and Katherine, as well as nieces and nephews, Barbara, Sharon, Gary, Karen, Sandy, John, Donna, Dana, and Darrel. He was predeceased by his sister, Ida Ng, and a brother, Wallace Wey, and his sister-in-law, Betty Soo Hoo. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, January 6, 2016 from 4-8 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains, NJ 07950. A funeral service will be held at 7 pm. Entombment will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2016, at 10:00 am at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
