Obituary of Ruth A Byrne

Ruth A. Byrne, 84, passed away on January 12, 2017 in Lancaster, PA. She was born in Scranton, PA, lived in Morris Plains and moved to Lancaster, PA, four years ago. Ruth graduated from Westside High School in 1950. She worked as the Court Clerk for Morris Plains for 25 years until her retirement in 1998. She was a member of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. Ruth is survived by her loving children, Neil Byrne, Jr. and his wife, Tammy, Lancaster, PA, David Byrne and his life partner, Kelli Gerth, Birdsboro, PA,Donna Byrne and her husband, Chris Bare, Lutherville, MD. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews as well as four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Neil Byrne in 2005, and also by her sisters, Mary Conkling, and Catherine Janes and one sister-in-law and four brothers-in-law. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, January 16, 2017, from 6-9 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains, NJ 07950. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at 10:00 am at St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Employee Appreciation Fund at The Long Community, 600 East Roseville, Lancaster, PA 17601.
