Obituary of Ludmila Huska Kubik

Mildred H. Kubik (nee Huska), age 101, died Monday, February 6, at Merry Heart Health Care Center. Prior to moving to Morris Plains, N.J., 28 years ago, she was a life-long resident of the Town of Irvington, N.J., where she was Assistant Tax Collector for 11 years. A graduate of Coleman's Business College, she was committed to her community. She served as a PTA President, starting a drug awareness program in the 1950's, and held leadership positions at the Zion Lutheran Church, now located in Clark, NJ, which her parents helped to establish. She was an Eastern Star and Mother Advisor to the Rainbow Girls. She is survived by her sister, Martha H. Black of Tampa, FL, daughter, Carole M. Harper, of Morris Plains, NJ and her son and his wife, Kenneth and Virginia Kubik, of Randolph, NJ, and 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Karl Kubik. Visitation is Friday, 2/10/17, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Church services will be held on Saturday, 2/11/17, at 9:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 131 Mountain Way, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, 559 Raritan Rd., Clark, NJ 07066.
