Please share a memory of Suzanne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Suzanne Kay Walldorf, 75, was born in the Bronx, NY, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, NY, and more recently, Madison, NJ. Died on March 1st very much loved by her family. Suzanne graduated from the Bronx High School of Science, Hunter College with a BS in Nursing, and the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center with an MS in Nursing. She loved working with patients at Einstein Medical Center in the Bronx, the VA - Lennox Hill Hospital, and as the Assistant Director of Nursing Education at United Hospital in Portchester, NY. She later changed career paths and worked as a Computer Specialist with Norden Systems in Norwalk, CT. Sue treasured education, cultural activities, and photography. A Girl Scout summer camp counselor, she loved crocheting, crafts, stamps, and dolls collecting. She collected over 500 dolls that were donated, with love, to the Morris Museum where they are used for education outreach. Sue loved to sing, especially with “Musaics,” the White Plains choral group celebrating unity among diverse ethnic groups. Devoted daughter of Frieda "Fritzie" (d.1995) and Julian Walldorf (d.1998) ; Beloved sister of Steve and his wife, Mary Anne; adoring aunt of Jenny and Karen Walldorf; and always delighted by her grandnieces, Clemmy and Peia. She will be deeply missed by all. A Service will be held at Community Unitarian Church in White Plains, NY (cucwp.org) on Saturday March 11th, 10am followed by burial at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to two organizations that were close to Sue's heart, the New Rochelle Humane Society (humanesocietyofwestchester.org) & the Community Unitarian Church at White Plains (cucwp.org/giving).
