Obituary of William C. Struning

William “Bill” Charles Struning, Jr., 94, of Morris Township, passed away on March 28, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Bill resided in Morris Township for the past 49 years. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during WWII. Bill earned his B.A. degree from Columbia College in 1946, his M.S. degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1955, and his PhD from New York University in 1962. Bill worked as a College Professor at Seton Hall University in South Orange for 33 years and as an Independent Consultant before retiring in 2002. He was also was a member of the American Marketing Association, and The First Presbyterian Church of Morristown. Bill is survived by his dear wife, Alta (Wages); and his devoted daughter, Carol Giulino, and her husband, John. He is also survived by his beloved brother, Albin Struning; and his cherished grandchildren, Meghan DeLaney (Paul), Geoffrey Giulino (Danielle), and Colby Sciuto (Steven); as well as his two adored great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Maia DeLaney. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 2-5pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11:00am at The Chapel at Restland Memorial Park, 77 DeForest Avenue, East Hanover. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in memory of Bill may be made to: The First Presbyterian Church of Morristown, 65 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960.
