Obituary of Gail Dunlap Reuben

Gail Dunlap Reuben, 76, of Convent Station, passed away on April 21, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. Born and raised in Orange, NJ, Gail was the proud daughter of Harold T. Dunlap & Edna M. Dunlap (both deceased), and resided in Morristown for over 50 years. A graduate of Orange High School, she earned a B.A. from Douglass College-Rutgers University, an M.S. from Seton Hall University, a M. Div from Drew University and certificates in Historical Preservation. Beyond Gail’s passion for education, her mission was to give every child a chance to have the life they deserved. She co-founded with Dr. Laura McKirdy, The Lake Drive School For The Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Gail worked as an Audiologist, Adjunct Professor, and Fundraiser for various organizations for over 50 years. She prided herself to be a member of: The Woman's Club Morristown, Daughters of the British Empire, ASHA, Lake Drive Foundation, and Friends of Foster Fields. Gail’s family includes her beloved husband, Jay Robert, her devoted children, Jeremy Kenneth, Hilary E. Phillips, her husband Thomas E. Phillips III and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas E. IV and Charlotte Willow Phillips. Her extended family includes her loved brother Wayne T. Dunlap, sister-in- law Retta Dunlap, their children: John David, James Theadore and wife Caron, Danielle Dunlap, Elisabeth Terhune and her husband Shaun Terhune of Woodbury, VT & NH. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service for Gail will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 70 Maple Avenue, Morristown. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair.
