Obituary of Vita Racamato

Vita Racamato, 95, of Morristown passed away on May 6, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center.
Vita was a life-long resident of Morristown. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1939.


Vita worked for Warner Lambert in Morris Plains until she retired in 1965. She was also a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Morristown. In her spare time, Vita enjoyed volunteering for the Legion of Mary, St. Matthew Society, Interfaith Food Pantry, and Meals-on-Wheels. She had a loving heart and cared dearly for her family and her church community. Vita's home was a gathering place for friends and family for many decades. She will be missed.


Vita is survived by her dear sisters, Nancy Landi, Ann Casendino, and Lucille Hopf, and her husband,        Harold; as well as many cherished and adored nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Vita was predeceased by her brother, Frank Racamato, and her sister, Louise Balog.


Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral         Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial for Vita will be celebrated on    Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Margaret’s Church, 6 Sussex Avenue, Morristown.                 Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.


In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Vita may be made to: St. Margaret’s Church, or the Interfaith Food Pantry.
