Obituary of Beth Long

~~Beth Ann Long, 61, of Keyport NJ, passed away at home on July 25 with her husband and daughter by her side.  She was born in Philadelphia, grew up in Morristown NJ, and eventually resided in Keyport, NJ, for the past 29 years.  Beth graduated from Assumption School and then Bayley-Ellard High School in 1973.  

Beth was a registered nurse having graduated with an Associate's Degree RN from the County College of Morris, and then with a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University in 1988 with high honors.  She spent her entire 40 year career helping people, with most of those years as a dialysis nurse. She began her career at Morristown Memorial Hospital, then after moving to Keyport ended her career at Davita, Inc. Eatontown, NJ.  Sadly she retired in 2016 as a result of her illness, otherwise she would have continued to work as a nurse, in the profession that she truly loved.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Kelly, and her devoted daughter, Jennifer Kelly, and her husband, William Kennedy, and her brothers and sisters, Michael Long and his wife, Nancy Long, Debra Kelly and her husband, Tom Kelly, Delbert Long and his wife, Anne Long; Susan Long, Gregory Long, John Long and his wife, Tanja Long, as well as numerous and loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Delbert Long and Elizabeth Andrews Long, her sister Kathy, and her brothers, Timothy and Dennis Long. 

Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation at the Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ, on Friday, July 28, from 4 to 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Assumption Church, 91 Maple Avenue, Morristown, NJ on Saturday, July 29, at 9:30am. Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Beth's memory be made to the Interfaith Food Pantry, 2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains, NJ, 07950.
