Obituary of Marshall Foster

~~Marshall James Foster, age 87, died peacefully on August 14, 2017. Marshall was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Madison, NJ, in 1936 where he was a life-long resident.

Marshall attended the Madison Academy and graduated from the Pingry School and Haverford University. He pursued his graduate studies at New York University. He had a 50 year career in the financial services industry in New York City starting at Spencer Trask and ending with Citicorp.

He is survived by his sister, Louise Foster Taylor of Little Compton, RI, his nephews, John Donald Taylor, Jr., Needham, MA, Marshall Foster Taylor, Dedham, MA, Peter Brodt Taylor, Rye Beach, NH, and David Bradford Taylor, Derry, NH. He is also survived by his late wife Kathleen Sullivan McGuire’s daughters, Eileen McGuire, Kathleen Bentarola and her husband, Dennis, and their children, Timothy and Kaitlin; Mary-Claire MacDonald and her husband, Bill and their daughter, Maura.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 11:00am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison, NJ 07940. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery, Noe Ave. & Shunpike Rd., Madison, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Marshall’s memory to the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corp., 29 Prospect St., Madison, NJ 07940.
