Obituary of Elizabeth Macchia

~~Elizabeth Macchia, 85, passed away on October 25, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. She was born in Harrison, NJ, lived in Kearny prior to moving to Morristown, NJ 20 years ago.

Elizabeth worked as a professional seamstress for Roman Enterprises and Peerless Umbrella Co., East Newark, NJ until she retired in her 60’s. Upon her retirement, she worked as a Lunch Lady at the Harding Township School, where she was energized working with children.

She is survived by her sister, Angelina Dellisanti as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews.

Elizabeth was an amazing cook who loved to entertain and feed her family with recipes passed down from her mother. She appreciated the beauty of nature and enjoyed gardening. She was also an avid reader. She loved life and spending time laughing with her family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, October 30, 2017, from 4-8 pm with a funeral service at 7:30 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ 07950. Interment will take place on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
