Obituary of Norma J Beer

Norma J. Beer died peacefully at her home in Morristown, NJ, on July 26, 2015. She was predeceased in 2011 by her beloved husband of 68 years, Dr. Morton A. Beer. Born on December 1, 1920 in New York City, she was the daughter of Jeannette and Morris Horowitz, and the sister of Lenore Gerber who predeceased her. She received her BA in 1941 from Hunter College. Norma had a quick mind and a wonderful sense of humor. She was a beautiful woman who was warm, sweet, and gregarious. Her generosity to her loved ones knew no bounds. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family who will miss her terribly. She leaves two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara McGee of Denville, NJ, and Patricia and Lawrence Kotler of Westfield, NJ; three grandsons, Andrew McGee of New York City, Michael Kotler of Hoboken, NJ, and Jonathan Kotler of Perkiomenville, PA; and three great-grandchildren, David, Penelope, and Luca. A Celebration of her Life will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Noon at Temple B’Nai Or, 60 Overlook Road, Morristown, NJ. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Cedar Knolls, NJ. Arrangements were under the care of Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains, NJ.
