Obituary of Carmella F Hand

Carmella “Babe” Hand, 92, passed away on February 21, 2018 at Care One, Whippany, NJ. She was born in Morristown, NJ, and lived in Morris Plains for the past 4 years.

Babe worked as a Cafeteria Manager for the Morris School District for 25 years until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, Cedar Knolls as well as the Morris Township Senior Citizens and Collinsville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her brother, Vincent Molnar and his wife, Mary Ann, Morristown, NJ, her sister, Florence Molnar, Hackettstown, NJ, and 12 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and great- nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Carmine Carbella and Florence Wright. Her husband, Harry Hand, predeceased her in 2008.

Babe was a kind, caring personality who was loved by all who came in contact with her. She enjoyed preparing delicious holiday dinners and baking outstanding cookies for her cherished family. She loved Atlantic City trips, playing bingo and pokeno with her Sunrise friends, and took pride in her beautiful garden.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 2-6 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains NJ 07950. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018, at 10:00am at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel, Cedar Knolls, NJ. Entombment will follow at Holy Rood Mausoleum, Whippany Road, Morristown, NJ.
