Obituary of Jeanne M Grivalsky

Jeanne Grivalsky passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 31, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, Jeanne moved to Madison, N.J. in 1957. She graduated from St. Vincent’s elementary school in 1958 and went on to attend Bayley Ellard High School graduating with the class of 1962. She received her bachelor’s degree in education from the College of St. Elizabeth’s in 1966. Mrs. Grivalsky taught elementary school in several Morris County school districts. For the last 20 years of her career she taught at Ridgedale Middle School in Florham Park. She was very active in many community activities in Florham Park, including the Municipal Drug Alliance and 4th of July parade. She also enjoyed taking dance at the Myra Witt Dance Studios in Madison. Jeanne was loved by many for her upbeat spirit and zest for life. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her husband George Grivalsky, daughters Jennifer Boden and Danielle Grivalsky, granddaughters Allison Boden and Anna Boden, her brother Denis McLaughlin, sister-in-law Barbara McLaughlin, niece Kathleen Novasack (Mark) and nephew Kevin McLaughlin (Courtney). The family will welcome family and friends on Thursday, September 3rd from 4-8PM at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A funeral mass will be held on Friday September 4th at 10AM at Holy Family Church, 35 Orchard Rd. in Florham Park.
