Anastasia (Stacy) Sibona, 70, of Morristown, NJ, passed away while surrounded by loving family and friends on January 2, 2019, in Morristown after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Stacy was born in NYC to James and Despina Fafoutis on September 23, 1948, graduating from Madison High School in 1966. She studied bilingual communication at the Latin Institute in New York City. She worked as a bilingual secretary and project coordinator before embarking on a passionate, 25 year long career in massage therapy with specialized training in Rubenfeld Synergy and Feldenkrais Methodology. Stacy enjoyed tennis, travel, family time and treating anyone she knew to homemade Greek cuisine. A steadfast mother and grandmother to Lillian and Lorelei Sibona as well as a loving friend to many, Stacy played community softball, supported Scouts and coached youth softball during her lifetime.
The family welcomes guests for visitation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on January 5th at the Dangler Funeral Home in Madison, NJ, where the Reverend Timmers of The Center for Spiritual Living will officiate Stacy’s celebration of life at 1 p.m. The Dangler Funeral Home will handle all memorial arrangements.
Stacy is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Jim, of Morristown, three children: son Christopher and his wife Christine; daughter Amie; and son Jim and his wife Jessica; siblings Marie Gensch, Stephen Fafoutis and James Alexis as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents.
