Obituary of Delphine G. Trevena

Delphine “Del” Trevena, age 92, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hazleton, PA, Delphine lived in Morris Township. She was the secretary to the superintendent in both the Morris Township and the merged Morris School District for 31 years. She was an avid player and teacher of bridge and loved visiting Atlantic City in her senior years. She was a member of St Virgil’s Church for 66 years. Delphine chose to honor numerous charities, both local and national, through her generosity. She was pre-deceased by Russell, her beloved husband of 61 years, in 2011. Delphine is survived by her loving daughters, Susan McKinlay (Harry), Mary Beth Supple, Morris Township, Barbara Dolan, Morristown, and son Russell J. Trevena M.D.( Jennifer) Peachtree City, GA. She also leaves 6 cherished grandchildren, Kara Moreland, Colin McKinlay(Angela), Daniel Supple, Nick Trevena(Afton), Joseph Trevena, and Olivia Trevena., along with 4 great-grandchildren, Bobby Moreland, Riley McKinlay, Maya McKinlay, and Annabelle Trevena. The family will receive condolence calls on Sunday April 9, 2017 from 2-5pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Donations in Delphine’s name may be made to The Market Street Mission, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Food for the Poor.
