Obituary of Diane M. Gaffney
Diane M. Gaffney passed away at age 74 on February 3rd after a brief illness at Morris View Hospital where she had been a patient for the past five years.
Her brother Michael said, "There was none sweeter or more loving than Diane." She was a lifelong resident of Morristown and worked for 30 years with the State of New Jersey Benefits Office. Diane graduated from Morristown High School in 1969 and the Berkeley School of Secretarial Training before starting her career with the State of New Jersey.
She was a member of the Assumption Church and did volunteer work at the Food Shelter in Morristown.
Diane is survived by her brother Michael, Randolph, NJ, and her sister Christine, New Orleans, LA. Diane is predeceased by her older sister and best friend, Kathleen Waldron in 2019, her older brother Charles “Zook” Gaffney in 2010. Her parents, Charles J. Gaffney, 2001, and Theresa “Terry” Gaffney, 2004, were formerly of Morristown and Marion, SC.
A private remembrance will be held on February 23rd for family and friends.
