Our condolences go out to Pauline’s family and friends on her passing. We first met Pauline when she attended our daughter’s wedding in 2018 in beautiful Lake Lure, North Carolina.
It was a beautiful chilly day but she was very happy to be our dad’s best girl for this event. They really looked so happy together and we know that Bob will miss her terribly. They were inseparable companions until the very end.
God now has Pauline in His loving arms and her smile continues to radiate her love as she looks down over her family and friends from Heaven.
Rest well Pauline! ❤️

Dear Karen, Jim, Cheryl, Jon , Lynn , Timmy and families,
You are all in our thoughts and hearts at this very sad time. Thinking of the many times we have shared together since we met your family when you came to St. Virgil’s grammar school , Karen entering 6th grade , and meeting Erin Burns, Maureen O’Hagan and Pamela Dower ( me), the beginning of friendships that are still so important in our lives today. We were so fortunate to grow up with such strong women role models, as our Moms were the “guardians” of our world, which was bordered by Pauline’s “creative , beautifully landscaped, inviting” home on 5 Bromleigh Way, Pat O’Hagan’s “organized, Irish-themed, warm” home on 1 Bedford Place, Bobby Burns “constantly active, bagel abundant , welcoming” home on 9 Beaver Ridge Road and Helen Dower’s “socially chaotic, pet filled, crazy” home on 30 Canfield Place. Pauline was truly ahead of her time, combining her love of fragrances and makeup, helping women feel positive about themselves, with raising her five children, with love and pride, her dear husband, Jack, always there. She was a very talented seamstress, and over the years Pauline created Irish costumes for us to wear at Bayley as servers, had the courage to design and sew Karen’s wedding dress and bridesmaid’s dresses, created Maureen’s headpiece, and in true feats of “fashion heroics” designed wedding dresses for her friend’s daughters! Pauline was independent and brave, not willing to conform to traditional role models, showing her children that hard work and passion build character. She wouldn’t miss her weekly hair appointment or the chance to use her leaf blower when needed. So many special memories of being with the Hooper family over the years, we know Pauline’s spirit will live on in all of her loving family and friends, especially her wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren! Build a rock wall in her honor! With love, Pam and Tom
