My deepest condolences to Cathleen and all the family members. I was privileged to be Chief Amelio's secretary for several years at Morris Township Police Dept. We had a great relationship, and it was my pleasure to be at work every day. We also had many laughs. He had a great sense of humor! We also had some serious spiritual conversations.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person.
God Bless!
Susan Ferrari

My father, my Dad - Anthony, Tony - will be sorely missed by so many.
He was a steadfast and devoted husband and father who stood by his beliefs, loved his family and lived with integrity and strength. Dad was a proud Repubican and a proud American who believed deeply in service, structure, and doing the right thing. His principles led him to long and honorable career as a police officer - a job he did with courage and heart.
He was also a provider in every sense of the word. In addition to his full-time work on the force, he did people's income taxes on the side. Not because he loved it - let's be honest, it was for the extra money - but that's who he was. He did what needed to be done to support his family. He was sharp, reliable, and people trusted him.
One of the most important things my Dad did for me was introduce me to computers. He brought home a Texas Instruments TI-99 and later a Commodore 64. And that was it - I was hooked. That small gesture ignited a lifelong passion for technology in me. But that's the kind of father he was - always giving me the tools to grow into who I was meant to be.
And if you really wanted to see Dad light up, all you had to do was say the words "Disney World". Some of the biggest laughs, and best memories, came from our time as a family at Disney. Like the time we rented those little speedboats and he decided to make it his personal mission to splash every other boat on the water. He thought it was hilarious. Zipping around, hitting just the right angle to drench unsuspecting passengers. Or at Typhoon Lagoon where he'd position someone's tube right under a waterfall and hold it there while they yelled and laughed, completely at his mercy.
Dad also had a soft spot for dogs maybe because, like him, they're loyal to a fault, protective of their people, and happiest just being by your side.
Dad taught me responsibility. He taught me how to stand by my word. He taught me how to work hard and how to love with my whole heart. Most of all, he gave me the tools to find my own path and the strength to walk it.
Dad, thank you for your strength, your laughter, your guidance, and your love. You will be forever missed. But we carry you with us in every story, every tradition, every barking dog, every glowing screen, and every tax season.
Rest well, Dad. Ahhhh... rest. You've earned it.

My beloved uncle Anthony will be truly missed by many. He was always a treasure in my life from the time I was a little girl. My earliest memories of him is when he was working at the US post office. He was always very generous in showering us with love. We were a close family and all lived within the same neighborhood in Morristown. Anthony was the youngest of seven siblings.
Anthony always made his family feel special and important. He listened to us, supported our dreams, humored us and always had a sincere interest in our lives. I admired him for being a police officer in Morris Twp. NJ. I was so proud to tell my friends “my uncle is the chief of police”. This tad of information was also helpful when I got stopped by a cop for driving over the speed limit.
Anthony was someone I always looked up to. His love and support to me over the years has been more than amazing. I visited him this past December, just a few months ago…I will always remember his smile
He enlightened my life with his kindness, words of wisdom, sense of humor, and support. I will always remember him for his dedication in the community, helping others and the way he lived life with such strength and resilience. He was a man of dignity and unbending principle
Anthony is at rest. God rest his soul.
I will always remember his love and cherish the memories he left behind.
