Obituary of Irene E. Joyce

Irene E Joyce, 89, of Randolph, NJ passed away on May 15, 2025.

Visiting will be on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00am Thursday, May 29, 2025 at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ.

Irene is survived by her devoted son, Michael, of Randolph, NJ, as well as many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward.  

After graduating from Business School in Massachusetts, Irene worked for an insurance brokerage affiliated with Lloyds of London in Boston for many years.  Irene was a homemaker while residing in Randolph for the past 56 years.  She stayed active with her numerous volunteer activities and hobbies during this time.  Irene was a long-time member and past-president of the Morris County Beekeepers Association.   She managed the Morris County Beekeeping Exhibitions at the NJ Flower Garden Show (Morristown National Guard Armory), Morris County 4H Fair, and other venues for many years.  She was a volunteer at the Morris Museum and was a long-time member, officer, and newsletter editor of the Morris Museum Mineralogical Society.  She also volunteered at Fosterfields Living Historic Farm and was a member and officer of the Friends of Fosterfields.
