Although I met Diane through work in Clinton, we shared our best memories catching up over lunches with our retiree group of friends. She took pride and joy in her family, especially her two granddaughters, and we all enjoyed hearing about them. She had a beautiful, kind soul and was always so sweet to be around. Rest in peace my dear friend, you will truly be missed. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Diane was the kind of friend that you could drop in on and find an empathetic ear and a cup of tea. We shared a love of animals and I am so grateful for the many times she took care of our dog so that we could travel. Cinnamon loved her and enjoyed staying with Diane and her family. We also shared a love of books and swapped our favorites. She taught me to grow African violets although I was never as good at it as she was. Gardening was her specialty and she had ten green thumbs. She could make anything grow and thrive. I will always remember and miss her smile that came from a happy heart, filled with love and compassion. I am so grateful for the friendship we shared. It is with heartfelt sadness that I offer my deepest sympathies to Tom, Leigh and Scott.

I had the pleasure of working and carpooling to Clinton with Diane for several years. Several of our retired ExxonMobil lady friends still continue to get together for lunch over the past several years. Diane always spoke fondly of her family and vacations in Myrtle Beach. I know all her knew Diane will surely miss her. May Diane rest in peace.

You get to know a lot about a person when you carpool and work with them for 12 years. Diane was a good friend, a quiet woman who loved her family and was proud of the many accomplishments of Leigh and Scott and her two granddaughters. Her animals - many dogs and cats over the years - were her love as well. I once asked why Diane didn't volunteer at St. Hubert's Animal Center, and she said that she would be tempted to bring them all home. During retirement Diane and I met with other work friends for lunch and at meetings and activities at the Thursday Morning Club. We had many discussions of her love of mahjong and bridge. I will miss you, Diane, and know that you are out of pain and in a better place.

Di has been my best friend for 62 years. She was the sister I never had. We met through having horses and spent all of our teenage years together. We loved each other before we had boyfriends, before we knew our husbands, long before kids ever crossed our minds. We hung out as young married couples, then young Moms, then middle-aged and old Moms, although we’ve been miles apart for a very long time. Diane taught me how to change a diaper (thanks, Leigh, for your cooperation all those years sgo). I have so many memories I couldn’t begin to list them, but one very special one was when our families traveled to a dude ranch in Colorado almost 25 years ago and spent a week together. Back to our roots, where our friendship began in 1963 because of our love of our horses. My heart is broken by the loss of my oldest and dearest friend, and my grief is profound. I love you, Di, then, now and always. And I love you all, Tom, Leigh and Scott. Til we meet again, my friend. I love you, Diane, and I can’t believe you are gone. I so badly want to call you for just one more conversation.

I will miss Diane a lot. We knit together Fridays at lunch at work until retirement, we played bridge every Friday night, and in a small group in my house occasionally and I subbed sometimes in Mah Jong on Mondays. We have had a lot of play time together. She always spoke of you (the family), and always with love and happiness. I am so sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear about Diane. I worked with her at ExxonMobil. We shared our love of animals. She also would help me rescue my African violets. I could never get them as beautiful as she could, even though I would do exactly what she told me. May your loving memories help to comfort you at this sad time. With my deepest condolences and prayers.

Diane has been my dear friend for decades. I have many of her recipes and plants from her garden (but not her green thumb). I love that she trusted me to water her beautiful house plants while vacationing with family in the summer. Diane convinced me that knitting was easy, then finished my project when I gave up. Our lunches at work -- Diane would say "remind me" of something but we'd usually forget what it was. Lunches continued at various restaurants during our retirement, and we will miss you at our table. Many happy memories, but never enough. Rest my friend, your pain is gone. You are forever in my heart.
