Obituary of Geoffrey J. Swenson

Geoffrey J. Swenson, 77, of Morristown, NJ passed away at Morristown Medical Center.

Geoffrey was a life-long resident of Morristown. He graduated from Morristown High School in 1965.

Geoffrey worked for the Morristown Water Dept. for over 50 years; before retiring six years ago.

Geoffrey’s proudest honor was serving as a Fireman/Ambassador/Captain Chaplain for his community on the Morristown Fire Dept. for over 50 years.

Geoffrey is survived by his dear sister, Nancy J. Jordan, and his loving niece, Lisa Nimmo.

Geoffrey did not have a mean bone in his body. He was a friend to everyone and regarded everyone with the utmost dignity and respect. Everyone should have a friend like Geoffrey in their life.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service for Geoffrey will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Morristown.
