Obituary of John C. Sauchelli, Jr.

John “Jack” Sauchelli, 87, of Florham Park passed away on July 29, 2025.

Born in Newark, Jack resided in Florham Park for more than 50 years. He enjoyed a fulfilling 45 year career as Director of Corporate Exhibits at AT&T on Madison Avenue in New York.

In his spare time, Jack enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Florham Park Gun Club where he made many lifelong friends. He also loved to travel all over the world, but nothing gave him more joy than to cook delicious meals for his family and friends.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Dolores (D’Alessandro); and his devoted daughters, Jill Connolly, and her husband, Christopher, and Gale Sauchelli, and her husband, Lee Opperman. He is also survived by his cherished grandson, Jack Connolly.

A Funeral Mass for Jack will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Jack be made to a Charity of meaning to you.
