I met Karyn through my daughter Danielle when she started college.
Karyn had a smile that was contagious and she was fun to be around.
As their college years continued they met Angelique, Brooke and Sarah. I came to know each of them very well, it was like adopting four more daughters. I referred to them as the “Scranton Girls, the Scranton Angels or just the Scranton Five”. Where you found one you found the other four as they were inseparable!
After college the “Scranton Girls” kept their friendship going. They were there to support, love and care for each other during the good times and bad, their friendship is like no other! They have so many memories to treasure together.
To know Karyn was a blessing, she touched everyone she met in someway. She will be forever loved, missed and forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace Karyn and know someday the “ Five Scranton Girls”will be together to rock heaven as they did together here on earth.
Love always,
Mrs. Egan

Heaven gained a very special angel!
Karyn was the very first friend I made in college and from that moment on, everything changed for the better. She brought “The Girls” (Angelique, Danielle, Brooke & Sarah) together, and the five of us became inseparable. She was the “mama hen”, the rock of our group, the glue that held us all close through every chapter of life. Karyn had a gift. She always knew exactly what to say when times were tough, and she never failed to make us laugh when life was good. Her presence brought comfort, her humor brought joy, and her friendship brought so much love. To know Karyn was truly to love her. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was strong, kind, compassionate, and full of grace. Karyn was a woman to be admired in every sense. She lived a love story most dream of, with Al by her side through it all. Together, they raised two incredible children, Cole and Reece , who are shining examples of everything Karyn poured into them — love, strength, and goodness. I feel so lucky to have had 30 years of friendship with her. To have laughed with her, leaned on her, grown alongside her. Losing her feels like losing a part of myself. There are no words big enough to capture the depth of this loss, or the ache of her absence. Karyn, you are so deeply loved. You always will be.
Rest in peace, my beautiful friend!
Love, Danielle Rowland
