Obituary of Amelia Heye

Amelia Margaret Heye, 89, of Morris Plains, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025.

She was born on March 10, 1936, to Stephen and Anna (Proc) Partenock.  She was raised in Brooklyn, New York.  She was predeceased by Harold, her loving husband of 68 years.

Together they raised four children in New Jersey. They retired in Ocala, Florida, for 29 years.  Later they moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to  be closer to family.  Amelia then returned to New Jersey for the past year.

Amelia and Harold are at peace together.  They are survived by their four children:  Kenneth Heye and wife Christine; Lorraine Procter and husband Kevin; Christopher Heye and wife Missy; Brenda Byrnes and husband Les.  Amelia was loved by 9 grandchildren: Katie, Jane, Mike and wife Kirstin, Matt and wife Jackie, Megan, Nick and fiancé Haley, Lucy, Dan, and Shawn as well as 3 great-grandchildren: Payton, Cameron, and Jaxon.

Cremation by Dangler Funeral Home in Morris Plains.  A Memorial Mass to honor Amelia and Harold will be held at a later time in Queen of Peace Church, Ocala, Florida, where they were members of the congregation for almost 30 years.
