Obituary of Rosalita H. Gordon

Rosalita Gordon, a long time resident of Morris Plains, died on Wednesday September 24, 2025. She was 88.

Born in Manila, Philippines, the eldest child of Crispo and Rosenda Hernando, Mrs. Gordon is predeceased by her husband Deacon Gary N. Gordon, a brother, Carlos Hernando of Denville, NJ, and a daughter-in-law Mary Gordon of Livingston, NJ.

After graduating from the University of the Philippines College of Nursing in 1959. Mrs. Gordon worked as a nurse for nearly 60 years; retiring from Atlantic Health System and later from St. Clare’s Health.

She is survived by a brother, Cesar Hernando of Winettka, CA, her sisters Resureccion Hernando-David and her husband Ernesto of Manchester Township, NJ, Rebecca Hernando-Alberto and her husband Engracio of Whiting, NJ, and Remedios Hernando-Alvarez and her husband John of Silver City, NC. Her children John of Salem, OR, Terry of Kintersville, PA, James of Livingston, NJ, and Philip of Staten Island, NY. Her 10 grandchildren Anthony, Joseph, Jacob, Grace, Damien, Clare, Elias, Rita, Trent, and Rozalie Gordon, one great grandchild, Novi Tetreault, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 3-6pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Rosalita will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Virgil's Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Entombment will follow at Holy Rood Mausoleum, Morristown.
