Obituary of Edward Waldron Berg

Edward Waldron Berg, 91, died peacefully with his family at his side at Morristown Medical Center on October 2, 2025. He was born in Newark, NJ, and lived in North Arlington prior to moving to Madison, NJ, where he lived for 61 years.

Edward graduated from Villanova University in 1958 with a degree in Business Administration. He worked in sales at A.M. Best Co., Oldwick, NJ, until his retirement in 2000. He attended both St. Thomas More Parish, Convent Station, NJ, and St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison, NJ. He proudly served his country in U.S. Army from 1956 through 1958 and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany for 18 months.

Edward is survived by his devoted wife, Ann Gray Berg and his loving children, Edward, G. Berg, his wife, Maureen, Colts Neck, NJ, Nanci de Diego and her husband, Octavio, Palmetto, FL, Pam Berg, Chatham Township, NJ, and Karen Anderson and her husband, Steve, Morris Plains, NJ, and Michael Berg, and his wife, Beatriz, Bedminster, NJ. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Caroline Anderson and Sarah Anderson, both of Morris Plains, Madeline Berg, Tristan Berg and Olivia Berg, all from Bedminster, Danny de Diego and Jenny de Diego, Point Pleasant, NJ, Nicholas de Diego, Portland, ME, Julie de Diego, Palmetto, FL, and a great-grandchild, Franco Daniel de Diego, Point Pleasant, NJ.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 4-7pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison, NJ. Interment will be private.
