Mary was a "whirling dervish" as a child but grew into an adult who focused her energy and love on helping others. She left a positive impact on so many lives. Condolences to Stephanie, Tom and Jim. God bless her. Tooey

Mary was an extraordinary individual. Genuine, authentic and a pillar of strength and wisdom. Mary will always be remembered for her care, compassion and kindness, as well as her truth, integrity and advocacy. I loved our deep discussions as much as I loved her laughter. She was one of a kind , and both professionally and personally just one of the best.

Mary came into my life as a potential boss, someone who impressed me from the very first day when I was only 21. From the moment I met her, she stood out. Mary was deeply knowledgeable, confident, and a true force in our field.
It was, and continues to be, the honor of my career (and beyond that) to have learned so much through her guidance, insight, and example. I can only hope to reflect even a part of the insight and strength she carried so naturally.
Mary was also much more than a leader in the workplace. She supported me during some of the most challenging moments in my life. Her loyalty, friendship and her presence were constants.
I am grateful that I had Mary as both a mentor and my dear friend. Mary was my family. Her dedication, her brilliance, and her belief in others made a lasting impact on everyone around her. She will always remain one of my closest friends and someone whose influence shaped my life in meaningful ways.
Some people come into your life and leave you changed. I am better for having known her in this life.
I am profoundly grateful for Mary Griggs. She will always hold a special place in my heart- I know I will see you again.
I love you Mar! F&A.

I spoke to Mary one day when she called to see how my son who is a client was doing and to share something he said about me regarding Mother’s Day, which really touched her, and I think it was so thoughtful of her to share with me. God Bless Mary for all her hard work. May she rest in peace.

Mary - you have made such a lasting impression on me, and all the lives you touched. I have never met anyone as passionate and determined as you to get things done. You made the world a better place for our clients and all the people who were lucky enough to know you. You made doing my job at CPS worth it. I will miss my talks with you. You always had the answers, or led me in the right direction. You were not just my boss, but a dear friend who listened and cared. It always showed. My heart is broken along with everyone who was lucky enough to know you. Until we meet again. So much love

Mary was one of those few people who if you had the pleasure of knowing her you were lucky. She was one of the most caring and compassionate people I’ve ever known. She touched the lives of everyone she ever met. Heaven gained an angel. Mary will be missed by all who knew her. Our hearts are broken.

I worked as an assistant for Mary for a number of years until she retired. Mary was a great manager and a wonderful person. She helped me personally a great deal and I will always be grateful for her compassion and support.
I had one experience at the office, a number of years ago, which I will never forgot. Mary was ready to leave for the day. She had risen and put on her coat when one of our clients appeared in her doorway and greeted her. Mary appeared so happy to see him. She greeted him so warmly and with a big smile. She encouraged him to come in and sit. She took off her coat, sat down herself, and said to her guest "Tell me everything." Mary could not have been more generous with her time and expertise and is among the kindest, smartest, and savviest people I've known.
I will never forget Mary and what she shared with me.

A single memory is not enough to describe this incredible woman. She played an integral role in our son Avi’s life whom she had been a part of for the past 16 years. She was a mentor, a guide, and always seemed to point us in the right direction. Avi spoke with her every Thursday and she was always eager to
Share herself with him Her loss on this earth is insurmountable.
