One of the first pictures with my amazing Aunt Alicia, ❤️, she made every family get together that much more special. Thank you for all the holidays you welcomed me into your home. I will remember our last hug for the rest of my life. Peace to Larry, Kyle, Nikki and the rest of her family and friends.

Rest in peace, Alicia. Thank you for making my world a better place for over a half century. But more importantly, you improved my cousin Larry’s world tenfold. Together they raised two beautiful children and in return, Nikki and Kyle are each raising their own children and loving families. I’ll miss so much about Alicia, especially our endless conversations around the kitchen table, usually joking about one of Larry’s many antics. In all the years that I knew Alicia, I never once heard her say something bad about anyone. And in all the years I’ve known her, everyone was always made to feel so welcome in her home. Thank you for a lifetime of kindness! I selected 3 photos. One has her preparing dinner. Another is with my dad and Larry, taken just after Theresa and Mike’s wedding. Finally, one from about 1978, when she and Larry came to visit my mom. Lastly, to my dear cousins Larry, Nikki and Kyle, to you and your families, please accept my most sincere condolences and prayers.

Larry, Nikki and Kyle,
So sorry for your loss. As you know Alicia and I
were friends for 57 years and what a friend
she was. I have so many fond memories
from our first meeting in 1968 on the roof top of the
Chrysler Building in Manhattan where we were attending secretarial school, living with her in Munsey Park during winter months, our Caribbean escapees, shopping sprees, working together at an advertising agency and enjoying Brandy Alexander’s on Friday nights after work, her marriage to Larry, the birth of Nikki and Kyle and her grandkids who were her life and she adored. I can go on and on with so many more memorable memories. Alicia was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Ed and I enjoyed the many cruises we took with Larry and Alicia. She was so looking forward to our upcoming March cruise.
Alicia I loved you so much! You left us much too
early. I will never ever forget our amazing friendship and times we spent together.
Rest in peace my dear sweet beautiful friend!
All my love,
Wendy McColgan

I remember coming up to New York every year for Thanksgiving and going to Aunt Alicia and Uncle Larry’s. I always looked forward to it. She was always so warm and bubbly with love. She was always someone I looked forward to seeing on our family trips up to New York. I’m sorry I couldn’t have seen her more recently.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Ragonese. I had the privilege of babysitting Nikki and Kyle while I was in high school, when Mr and Mrs Ragonese went out for dinner and a movie on Saturday nights. I say privilege because it was a privilege to know their family. Kyle and Nikki were wonderful children, we had fun together. Mr. and Mrs. Ragonese could not have been more gracious and kind. I thought of their family often and on my wedding day, Mrs. Ragonese was there at the ceremony wishing me well, much to my delightful surprise. My heart goes out to Mr. Ragonese, Nikki, Kyle, and their family and friends. Mrs. Ragonese was an extraordinary woman, and I hope her memory lives on in those who love her. With love and condolences, Karen (Duchensky) Gorman

To the Ragonese Family,
Alicia was my beloved aunt and godmother, and her sudden passing has left an ache in all of our hearts. Aunt Alicia was the sweetest and kindest soul—someone who truly loved life and loved her family even more. Family was everything to her. As my mother Sheila’s baby sister, she stood by her always, a constant source of love, loyalty, and devotion. She also gave me endless love and unwavering support throughout my life, for which I will be forever grateful. I loved Aunt Alicia beyond words. She was blessed with her wonderful and endlessly funny husband, Larry; her beautiful children, Nikki and Kyle; their spouses, John and Frankie; and her precious grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be deeply missed by us all.
Larry, Nikki & John, Kyle & Frankie, and all the grandchildren—please know how very sorry I am for this tremendous loss. My heart and prayers are with you. I believe Aunt Alicia is now reunited with my late Dad, Dick Sharpe, and that they are together again—doing somersaults in the pool on Blackburn—surrounded by love, laughter, and peace. She is still with us, always.
With love,
Goddaughter,
Allison Sharpe-Moore

Q: What will you miss most about Alicia?
A: Alicia was a true sweetheart--to Larry, of course, but also to the rest of us. She had a ready smile and always listened. Alicia was a good human being who will be missed. I know her family was her whole world, and our hearts are with you all as you find a way to go on without that smile and listening ear.
