Obituary of Teresa Goode

Teresa “Terry” Goode, 87, of Morristown, passed away on January 7, 2026. Born and raised in Jersey City, Terry resided in Morristown for the past 59 years. 

Terry graduated from Seton Hall University with a BS Degree. She was an office worker, a real estate agent and finally an Office Manager for Richard A. Dickes, MD in Morristown before retirement in 2018

Terry was an avid crossword puzzler and word game player. She loved to cook and was a member of many social clubs in her early years including book, cooking, baby sitting and bridge clubs. Terry has volunteered at St. Virgil School, Bayley-Ellard,  JBWS and MMH Hospice She believed in giving back to the community. Terry was a member of St. Virgil’s Church for 53 years. 

Nothing pleased her more than sitting outside deadheading flowers. She loved to laugh and dance and sing with her family and friends. Terry left behind a treasure trove of unique family lore.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert, and her beloved children, Brian, and his wife, Joanne, of Pittsgrove; Karen of Howell; and Colleen of Spring Lake, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Sophia, Peter, Anthony, David and Owen. 

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown.
