Obituary of Siobhan J. Kirk

Siobhan (Murray) Kirk, 59, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, surrounded by love, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, hospitality, and a spirit that made every gathering brighter.

Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Siobhan was a longtime Morristown resident. Siobhan attended St. Elizabeth Academy for high school and went on to graduate from St. Francis College, PA. She was known for her intelligence, curiosity, and a sharp sense of humor that endeared her to all.

She is survived by her husband, Doug, her beloved partner for 35 years in life, travel, and entertaining. Together they built a home filled with warmth, good food, lively conversation, and a very lucky brown dog, Tucker. Siobhan enjoyed the game of tennis both for the competition and the camaraderie, and she found great joy tending their plot in the community garden. She was always eager to explore new places, plan the next adventure, or reminisce about favorite trips with friends or family.

Siobhan is survived by her loving mother, Aileen Murray, and her four siblings—Catherine, Sean, Brian and Deirdre. Above all, Siobhan was a doting aunt to her 15 nieces and nephews. Known for her thoughtful gifts, enthusiastic cheering on the sidelines and reliable presence at the Holy Sacraments, Siobhan often was the most fun person in the room.

Siobhan’s kindness, wit, and welcoming spirit will be deeply missed, but her legacy lives on in her family, her friendships, her flourishing garden, and the many tables she filled with love, laughter, and good company.

Visiting hours will be Monday January 19, 2026 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave in Morris Plains, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be held 10 am on Tuesday January 20, 2026 at St Mary’s Parish in Denville.
