Peter Floyd Hathaway 

March 23, 1942 – January 23, 2026

Peter Floyd Hathaway, 83, of Morris Plains, New Jersey, passed away on January 23, 2026, at Morristown Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 23, 1942, in Morristown, New Jersey. Peter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He worked for L. P. Thebault Company for 42 years, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

A lifelong car enthusiast, Peter enjoyed spending weekends with friends at car shows, proudly displaying his cherished 1956 Ford Victoria. He was a proud member of the Kustom Knights Car Club. Peter especially loved supporting his grandchildren and spent countless hours at soccer fields, baseball diamonds, softball fields, and football fields, cheering them on.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Hathaway; his daughters, Lisa Matzuk and her husband Richard, and Susan Zaboronek and her husband Roman; and his grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, Kate, Abby, and Emma.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1-4pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ.
