I was sad to hear about the passing of Mr. Fadden, as he was known to me. I was a neighborhood babysitter for their two children and a participant in he and Kathy’s annual Fadden Fest. A quiet man and yet very generous. I’m so sorry to his family for his passing.

I was shocked to hear of Dave's passing, a man whom I admired greatly and one who not only supported me here at the Library with a humorous quip and sound advice, but also made sure to talk with me concerning the Penn State football team. Dave was always one to understand situations that came up, to explain anything to do with facilities or engineering that the rest of us did not understand, but also act as a voice of reason when we most needed it. I was sad not to have Dave serve on our Library board after 2020, but was happy he accepted to be on our Foundation board, a position he held since. He was a good friend and I am a better person (and a better director) for knowing Dave and having him in my life. The Library, which had to live through an explosion in 2010, cannot be thankful enough for his service to our community and his friendly approach that made everyone feel like they were his best friend. I am so saddened and my deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.
