Obituary of Thomas Eng
Thomas Eng, 76, of Harding Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026.
Born in New York City, Tom had a lifelong passion for baseball, including playing on a team in the semi pro league. He went on to graduate from State Teachers College with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Computers. Tom lived a life rich in experiences, including serving in the National Guard to protect our country and giving back to his community by teaching mathematics at St. Vincent’s Academy.
After teaching, he went on to build a successful career as a senior systems analyst at Prudential. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to found Tomlor, Inc., where he served as CEO, overseeing two glass companies and a real estate business.
Tom embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. In addition to baseball, he enjoyed bowling, squash, handball, tennis, and golf, always staying active and engaged.
In his fifties, Tom was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, a challenge he faced with resilience and determination. He continued to lead his business ventures while cherishing time with his beloved wife, Lorraine. Together, they traveled often to visit their daughters, Rachel, Erica, and Kimberly, their sons-in-law, Steven, Jeff, and Bryan, and their cherished grandchildren, Zeus, Kayla, Natalie, and Maddie.
Tom will be remembered for his drive, his love of family, and a life richly lived.
