My Aunt Myrtle was a special blessing to our family. Every Christmas the Wright family would journey to North Carolina to spend it with Grandmas. On Christmas Day Aunt Myrtle made sure that she would gift us with something special. I can recall matching red checkered shirts for me and my sister Brenda. Every year we looked forward to receiving special gifts from her. Aunt Myrtle was also a great cook…making rolls was her specialty, I can still recall the smell and taste of them. I have many fond memories of Aunt Myrt. Most of all I remember the big dinners she would cook whenever we visited her and how she could grow vegetables in her back yard garden. She reminded me of my Mom with her quiet manner.

Q: What will you never forget about Myrtle?
