I am so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I am actually heartbroken.
What a great and classy man. We were very, very close friends and enjoyed each other’s company so, so much.
Our days together playing some of the greatest golf courses around the country were special. Also, our numerous trips to the Masters together were the best.
He was a fantastic human being and will be greatly missed.
My prayers are with you and your brothers and most especially Joyce.
Please send her my deepest condolences.
RIP Bill.
Warm Regards,
Rich O.

Hello all,
I sat with Bill at last year’s James McLain Christmas luncheon and was amazed at how well he looked and how sharp his mind was. He recalled things I told him years ago.
We were planning to get together this Spring for lunch at The Club with our ladies, both named Joyce.
Bill was wonderful at hosting us at Morris County for golf.
What a terrific guy.
We will all miss him.
Bill Henry was one of the really good ones we won’t forget.

I attended Bill’s celebration of life Thursday.
Beautiful church and ceremony, including bagpipes as we left the church!
Two of Bill’s sons gave moving remembrances.
Prominently mentioned was the squash program at the U. Club.
May he rest in Peace!

Your dad was one of the finest gentlemen that I have known in my life and I’m very saddened to hear of his passing. We served on the Squash Committee together and always made a point of sitting together at all squash events at the University Club.
I’ll always remember how positive your dad was and he had the easiest smile whenever we were together. I’ve missed him a great deal over the past few years in not seeing him at the club.
I won’t be able to attend personally but will attend online.
You and your family can be so proud to know that you had such a wonderful and well-loved gentleman in your lives.
My Sincere Condolences,
Kit T.

This is truly sad news, for your dad was a very special guy and loved by so many. We got to know each other when he was chair of the Squash Committee, and began work on updating the courts, so it was a few years ago.
I am so glad that you were able to bring him to the past few McLain lunches, I know how much he enjoyed those events and asked me to hold his seat until the day before so he could confirm making it ... and we were all so pleased to see him.
Please pass along our sincere condolences to rest of the family.

As Bill and Joyce's accountant for at least 25 years, I have only kind and wonderful thoughts of him. They would drive to my office every year to Jericho NY and meet with me. With Bill's exceptional intellect he would have many questions for me so I had to be on the top of my game. But more than that he and Joyce told me how proud they were of his sons and going to such prestigious schools. I of course had to mention that my children went to great schools as well one being in common (Colgate).
Through the years I have felt more to them as a friend than just a business associate.
I will miss Bill very much . I must say that he was very appreciative to me and he had much integrity.
My condolences to Joyce and the family.
Rest in Peace my friend.

I met Bill over 40 yrs. ago at the University Club playing squash. We connected immediately and became good friends. He was my doubles partner for years.I admired Bill for his commitment to the club and time he spent on the squash committee. After I took up golf we played many matches at Morris County and Westchester C.C. In later yrs. We traded visits with a group of friends to the two clubs. It’s a small world, as Bill worked with my wife’s father at Bethlehem Steel. Bill was a wonderful family man. He leaves a great legacy. Rest in peace my friend.
