Obituary of Jean Cipparulo

Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jean Cipparulo, 91, of Morris Plains, passed away at Morristown Medical Center on June 20, 2026. Born in Morristown, NJ, she lived in Morris Plains for the past 62 years.

Jean graduated from Morristown High School in 1952. After graduation from Secretarial School, Jean worked as a medical secretary for All Souls Hospital, Morristown, NJ. She worked for LSMC, in Morristown, NJ, as a Bookkeeper and Office Manager until her retirement in 2000. She was a parishioner of St. Virgil’s Church, the Red Hats and the Morris Plains Seniors.

Jean was a devoted wife to her husband, Peter.  They were married 55 wonderful years and were a true team.  Later in life, they enjoyed travelling together to Italy, Hawaii, California and New Orleans. Peter, the love of her life, passed away in 2016.

She lovingly raised her sons, Peter and Richard, and provided a strong foundation in love and in the Catholic faith. Peter and his wife, Pam, reside in Hillsborough, NJ, and Richard resides in Cedar Knolls, NJ. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Julia, Gracie, and Peter; her dear brother, Leonard Capricciuolo and his wife, Nancy; and her beloved sister, Marie Pfeifer, as well as many adored nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Leonard Capricciuolo, and her sister, Palma Antonaccio.

She was an expert seamstress with impeccable taste in fashion and home décor.  She made beautiful clothes for herself, and later dresses for her granddaughters and their dolls.  She further enjoyed taking her grandchildren shopping.

Perhaps, Jean’s favorite pastime was her authentic Italian cooking.  Her tomato sauce, lasagna, Christmas Eve seafood, and Easter pies were her specialties.  Sleepovers with the grandkids, however, featured favorite foods from tacos to peanut butter cookies.  She always planned special fun for them including crafts, new toys, trips to the museum, or McDonalds.

In her later years, she enjoyed watching TV with her sons, old movies, the Yankees and playing board games.  She cherished time spent with her family and lived a life long in years and rich in love.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, June 25,2026 from 2-4pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, NJ.
