When I think of Alan, the word that comes to mind is “Mensch”. I have had the pleasure of knowing him for a long time. In that time he has proven to be an intelligent, devoted and giving human being. He has served on the Board of the Morristown Jewish Center for many years. He also volunteered his time with the Morris Minute Men as an EMT. However, the most indicative of his devotion was to his wife, Ellen, and his family. Alan dearly loved his wife, Ellen, and his two beautiful children: Andrew and Tamra. He also had the pleasure to spend time with his grandchildren, which gave him great joy. Alan was a person whom I greatly admired for his intelligence, strength and devotion to those he loved. The Japanese garden in the backyard was his joy as well. I will miss Alan and his enthusiasm for life.
