Obituary of Madeleine Pasteelnick
Madeleine (Preiser) Pasteelnick, 87, of Randolph, NJ passed away on July 21, 2026. She was born February 5, 1939 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Martin Preiser and Florence (Mayer) Preiser. Her brother, Franklin Preiser, pre-deceased her in 2022.
Madeleine attended Hillside High School as well as Douglass College, where she earned a BA in elementary education-history. She was married to Louis Pasteelnick on December 1, 1962 and they were together for over 63 years.
She worked as an elementary school teacher before her marriage but later transitioned into a career as a telemarketer for multiple companies for over 20 years and also served as a volunteer for a number of organizations including Literacy Volunteers, Friendly Visitors and Crochet Project for the Homeless.
Madeleine was a longtime member of the Mount Freedom Jewish Center and served as president of the Sisterhood. She was an avid reader, lover of nature and classical music, and supported a variety of organizations including the National Organization for Women. She also served as a democratic party representative for Morris County.
She is survived by her husband Louis, daughter Ellen Goldberg, son David, grandsons Matthew and Joshua and great-grandson Simon.
