I first met Sarge when I worked at Reggie's Gulf as a high school student in the mid to late 80's. Then I had the pleasure and honor of being on the other end of the radio working at the Morris County Sheriff's Communications Center from Oct 1988 until his retirement. Being a Morris Plains resident, I'd run into him from time to time. We would shoot the breeze and talk about old times. After my retirement December 2024, I started seeing him even more and really enjoyed our encounters. I am going to miss him. So very sorry for your loss.

I had the absolute privilege and honor of knowing Dr. Aussicker through my job at Morristown Medical Center. He was always by the side of his beloved Jane when she came in for treatments. Probably the first time we met he noticed me grading my students' assignments. When we realized that we were both teachers and members of the College of St. Elizabeth/St. Elizabeth University we instantly clicked. We spent many a Saturday morning discussing education, philosophy, etc. We talked about him becoming a substitute teacher in my district because he had the "itch" to share his knowledge with future generations of kids. Had his beloved Jane not passed away, I have no doubt he would have joined me on the "front line" and continued imparting his knowledge and experiences to future generations. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to see and speak with him shortly before he passed. His passing will leave a giant hole in my heart, but I take solace in knowing he's back with his beloved Jane in Heaven. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and students. God Bless you Dr. Aussicker, and I hope to see you again someday.

Dave, I was sad to hear of your passing. We first met when we were both in Emergency Management in our police departments. Then, we came together again at CSE. You served as my mentor and friend of over 20 years. You were always about supporting our students. You were a devoted husband to Jane and took excellent care of her I will miss our talks and lunches. God bless. Jim Ford
