Obituary of Jane G. Howe

Jane Gaston Howe, 92, passed away on December 11, 2017 at Pine Acres Nursing Home, Madison, NJ. She was born in New York City, and lived in Orange and Bloomfield, NJ prior to moving to Basking Ridge, NJ, 55 years ago.

Jane graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1942 and subsequently Berkeley Secretarial School. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Siggins & Runyon Insurance Agency, Basking Ridge, NJ, for 45 years until her retirement in 2013.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth S. Howe, New York, Barbara Howe Snowdy and her husband, Mike of Orange, VA, and her son, Peter G. Howe of Hillsborough, NJ. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol Montrose, East Hanover, NJ and Beverly Stutzman and her husband, Andrew of Penfield, NY as well as her granddaughter, Jessica Young and her husband, Ben, her great-granddaughter, Miss Madison Young and 20 nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her husband, Robert S. Howe in 2009 and her sister, Martha Montignani and her brother, Joseph Gaston.

In the Spring of 2018, there will be a memorial service held at Grace Episcopal Church, Madison, NJ, with interment of Jane’s ashes in Grace Episcopal’s outdoor memorial garden immediately following.
