Obituary of Susan M Kelly

Susan Mary Kelly (née Sutherland), 68, of Washington, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11th in her home after a two year battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme, a type of Brain Cancer. Susan was born on Christmas Eve in 1947 in New York, NY, the first of two children of Howard and Mary Sutherland. She was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School and she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Hunter College in Manhattan. She had a successful career in the residential real estate business while raising a family in Long Valley, New Jersey. She was a world traveler, a talented knitter, a voracious reader, an excellent Scrabble and crossword player, and a devoted and generous Grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Carl as well as both of her parents and her brother Buddy. She is survived by her daughter Erinn Cranga and her son-in-law John of Long Valley, her daughter Jennifer Patton and her son-in-law Robert of Los Angeles, and her lifelong best friend Joanne Johnstone of Washington. She was nicknamed “G” by her four beloved grandchildren Anthony Saccoccio, Johnny and Kelly Cranga, and Frances Patton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16th at 11am at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home in Madison, New Jersey.
